Brochure Series from Thomas & Betts Explore Electrical Issues and Their Solutions

Vertical Market Brochures Cover Different Industries; Solution Set Brochures Cover Specific Challenges

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 27, 2013 – Thomas & Betts (T&B) has published two series of electrical solution brochures, including electronic versions available at www.tnb.com, as resources in responding to the electrical power and service needs of various market environments.

One series of 15 brochures, the Vertical Market brochures, have been produced for specific markets, such as power generation, chemical processing, and food and beverage processing. The other series of 10 brochures, the Solution Set brochures, were developed to address specific issues that are common to many industries, such as corrosion prevention, safety, grounding and bonding, and total project cost reduction.

“The two series of brochures were developed to help position Thomas & Betts and its distributor partners as trusted advisors in developing solutions to the challenges electrical power and service pose in various vertical market environments,” said Chad Smith, vice president, product management, at Thomas & Betts. “These brochures enable our distributors and us to demonstrate to end-user customers that we understand their problems and can offer products to solve these problems as part of the services that the T&B-distributor partnership provides.”

Each Vertical Market brochure includes a two-page spread for each of the issues that are typical in that particular vertical market. In addition to a summary of the issue, the spread highlights the Thomas & Betts product lines that have been developed specifically to address the topic on the left page. The right page includes a complete line card of all Thomas & Betts brands that are applicable to the particular issue.

Each of the Solution Set brochures highlights, in detail, a specific issue that one encounters in a variety of vertical markets, which allows T&B representatives, distributors and end-users to efficiently identify all T&B products and brands that can address that electrical system issue. It also raises a few fundamental points that pertain to the issue the Solution Set addresses. For example, the spread on pages 10 and 11 for Corrosive Environments asks, “Have you experienced downtime caused by corrosion issues in your processing areas?” and states, “The right conduit and fitting system solution can extend the life of your electrical system by up to 300 percent.”

Both series, the Vertical Market and Solution Set brochures, are available through Thomas & Betts sales representatives or can be downloaded online: the Vertical Market brochures at http://www.thomasbetts.com/pub/node/1436, and the Solution Set brochures at http://www.thomasbetts.com/pub/node/1425
